Great Bookclub Day!
Today the Carrollton, Georgia Pulpwood Queens met at my home and we discussed SPOON by Robert Greer. We all enjoyed the book and felt that the author had done an excellent job with the characters, the landscape and the images created by the language. One of the members (Frances) had already gone to the library and checked another one of his books. Then I was able to surprise everyone with a call from Kathy Louise Patrick -- the founder of the Pulpwood Queens. She told us all about Girlfriends' Weekend and made it sound so interesting and fun. Tonight I went to our Sunday School Chicklits Bookclub and we discussed Pat Conroy's - South of Broad. We watched an interview with Pat Conroy and decided that his own life experiences had given him so much to write about. I look forward to reading more of both authors books and getting to meet both Robert Greer and Pat Conroy at Girlfriends' Weekend. ENJOY...
